Our Guide To London Fashion Week

Its arrived, London Fashion Week begins tomorrow, from the 15th to 19th September, your most loved designers – as well as fresh newcomers – will be adorning venues with bespoke, themed backdrops to showcase their fashion collections for Spring/Summer 2018. It is a surreal thought to celebrate what you will be wearing in 6 months’ time but that’s the fashion industry’s. For now, you can concentrate on what to wear to the upcoming fashion shows, fashion parties, fashion lunches and fashion cocktail hours. It’s the perfect excuse for maximum fun.

London Fashion Week is the place for designers to surprise, shock and excite you with their shows, whether it’s the iconic Alexander McQueen’s No.13 dress painted live with car spray-paint machines or Prada’s 2008 catwalk show, where models took numerous tumbles whilst wearing slippery socks with skyscraper heels.

Thankfully, knowing you don’t have to walk the catwalk means this is the perfect occasion to wear your sky high heels. And with all the parties, you also won’t need to negotiate London’s busy streets, thanks to Uber allowing you to keep your fashion Zen.

You may be majorly obsessed with some luxury brands such as Celine and Gucci, but do still check out smaller labels like Sophie Hulme and Tabitha Simmons. Vintage items should also make the cut; the 50s clutch inherited from your Grandma or the delicate snakeskin belt retrieved from a vintage stall all deserve the same admiration.

Pop over to The Mayfair Hotel, an official partner of London Fashion Week. They have collaborated with Emilia Wickstead, creating three limited-edition cocktails; Pink, Rose & Violet, inspired by her favourite colours, tones & flavours.

Once you’ve channeled your inner Peggy Guggenheim and observed moving works of art with lots of moody pacing and posing, it’s time to frequent London’s other masterpieces; it’s restaurants! For a chic dining experience, book ahead at the new XU restaurant on the edge of Soho or the heavenly Luca close to Clerkenwell. Both offer excellent food and a fabulous interior to devour! You will bond nicely.

The Restory’s special clean service means you can focus on Fashion Week with the knowledge there’s no such thing as partying too hard. Although a week is a short space of time to squeeze everything in, fear not! There’s more just around the corner with Paris Fashion Week (women’s) running from 26th September to 3rd October. Make sure you find time for some dedicated R&R in between; with Cowshed pedicures and a glass of crisp white included.

Share your most loved accessories with @therestory_ that are so good they give passers-by catwalk envy!
