The Restory Announced As Part Of Walpole Brands of Tomorrow 2019

The Restory has quickly expanded from founder and CEO Vanessa Jacobs’ loft in Notting Hill to a bustling and ever expanding atelier. Our artisans in our West London atelier continuously demonstrate new techniques to facilitate and encourage after-care in the luxury market. Each artisan that is taken on joins our elite training programme and offers new skills, expertise and innovative approaches. In doing so we are able to support and help create the next generation of artisans. In recognition of the work we are doing we are delighted to announce that The Restory has been selected as a Walpole Brand of Tomorrow.

Walpole, founded in 1992, is the official sector body for UK luxury and is hugely respected within the industry representing over 250 of the UK’s finest brands. Their dedication to this sector is not only proven through the continuous success in the Brand of Tomorrow programme, but also in the Programme in Luxury Management at London Business School for the future of the industry. The numerous member events held throughout the year enable these businesses to build on their knowledge and expertise whilst having the opportunity to be a part of a positive forum of innovation, creativity and a collective voice within the luxury industry.

The Brands of Tomorrow programme was launched by Walpole in 2007 to promote, protect and develop British luxury with ambitions to develop and nurture emerging luxury brands through networking and mentorship. The brand follows in the footsteps of alumni Emilia Wickstead, Flowerbx and BoF who have undoubtedly established themselves within the luxury sector.

We will sit amongst 12 other bold and innovative start ups, Luna Mae London and Farer to name a few, as year after year Walpole is pioneering luxury British brands that are pushing boundaries with plans to grow and fulfil their potential. We are proud to be selected and recognized for demonstrating the highest standards of quality, design and craftsmanship within the luxury market.

2019 saw the launch of our sustainability campaign, which will be ongoing. We are proud to offer our services as a way to drive the circular economy whilst supporting craftsmanship and slow fashion. We continuously develop techniques and test sustainable products to maintain the intrinsic brand values at the core of our company DNA. The Restory is at the forefront of creating a luxury ownership experience as we uniquely combine the power of technology, the art of craft and the intuition of a luxury service. We look forward to a new venture alongside Walpole as a Brand of Tomorrow and are excited about the new opportunities this brings.

Vanessa Jacobs CEO and Founder of The Restory said “Aftercare has traditionally been unsexy and too complex for most brands and retailers. But done well, it is inspirational and nurtures long-term relationships. Being validated as a Walpole Brand of Tomorrow is an honour and demonstrates major shifts in the luxury landscape more broadly
