This service covers ballet shoes from any brand or designer. Heavily worn ballerinas may also benefit from additional services such as bow replacements or standard shoe repairs.
Different materials? If your shoes are tweed or mirrored, they will require different services. Send us photos for a preliminary quote.
Faded shoes? We hand mix colour for as close as possible match to an unfaded area of the shoe, generally on the inner foot or bottom. Use and UV exposure may mean that this colour differs to that of a newly bought item.
Texture? We must use pigment to restore the colour of your shoes, as opposed to the original dye colouring method. Although your shoes will retain their luxury feel, the texture may be slightly different to the original.
We begin by removing surface dirt on your shoe’s soles, interior, exterior. Non-leather bindings and toe coverings are given a special clean with professional formulas to remove as much dirt and staining as possible. To find a colour reference to hand mix and match the pigment to, we identify a part of the shoe where the colour is as close to the original as possible. Scuffs, tears and scrapes are filled with specialist leather filler before pigment is applied in thin layers. Once complete, a protective coating is applied to protect the colour and leather. The finish is adjusted to match the original level of shine.
